While Elaine fusses with the B&B, car-fanatic Tim offers an extra service
– chauffeur-driven tours in his beloved Bentley, named Ameila.
In mint condition, the 1988 Bentley V8 Turbo RL with a long wheel base is one of only a
few in Australia, hand-made from start to finish. It weighs three tonnes and, at time of writing,
had travelled only 81,000 kilometres.
Resplendent in his black-and-white chauffeur’s uniform, Tim drives guests to points local, from the Yorke Peninsula seaside highlights to the Clare Valley cellar doors and unique Burra – or anywhere requested.
One package involves Tim driving you on a tour of Clare, visiting three of the best cellar doors,
with lunch at Skillogalee winery’s renowned old farmhouse restaurant.
For Tim-driven guests or those who choose to drive themselves, Elaine offers picnic packs
– antipasto, seafood, chicken, or barbecue meats, plus fine wine with cheese and crackers.
Then, of course, is the option of an organised charter to prized fishing grounds.
